Your start. Our information.

In the apprenticeship to become a gardener specializing in ornamental plant cultivation, you will become a specialist in the propagation, cultivation, and care of plants. The practical portion of your training takes place at the Botanical Garden in Giessen, where you will learn about a wide variety of plants, as well as irrigation and cultivation techniques. Since market-oriented plant production and sales are not the primary focus at JLU, the training components ‘consulting and sales’ are taught as part of a joint training program at a retail outlet.
