As part of your apprenticeship as an animal keeper specializing in research and clinical care, you will assist with the breeding, care, feeding, treatment, and enrichment of large and small animals. You will also assist with surgeries, apply restraint techniques, and administer medications. Potential areas of work include clinics for horses, small animals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish, as well as obstetrics, gynecology, and andrology for large and small animals, and various departments such as pathology or marine biology.
